Start with the official source for public roads
For current municipal updates, road conditions, parking restrictions, and winter-maintenance information, check the City of Ottawa’s official website rather than relying on a directory summary. Policies and conditions can change, so the official source should remain the reference point.
Private access still needs its own plan
A municipal road or sidewalk update does not describe your driveway, steps, front walk, loading area, or shared entrance. Map the route on your property and decide which surfaces need attention.
Keep the two conversations separate
When requesting private service, do not assume a contractor is speaking for the City or that a public-road update guarantees a private route. Describe your property and ask what the provider can and cannot cover.
