Home access guide / 09
Driveway snow removal in Ottawa is more than the first pass.
A driveway request should make the full access route visible. Include the driveway shape, the connection to the street, the path to the entrance, and what happens to snow after it is moved.
Describe the driveway itself
Note whether it is single or shared, narrow or wide, sloped, gated, or interrupted by parked vehicles. If turning space or a tight edge matters, say so before a provider visits.
Connect it to the door
A cleared driveway can still leave a difficult trip at the walkway, steps, side entrance, or bin route. Include the areas that make the property functional, then ask which parts fall inside the proposed scope.
Ask about the edge of the service
Clarify where snow may be placed, whether a return visit is a separate conversation, and whether the request is for one event or a seasonal arrangement. Avoid assuming that “driveway removal” includes every surrounding surface.
