Snow plowing in Ottawa is about access, movement, and storage.
Plowing is one part of a winter plan. Before you request a snow plow service, describe the surface, traffic pattern, places snow can be moved, and what needs to remain accessible.
Plowing is not the whole snow plan
A plow can open a route, but entrances, steps, narrow edges, loading areas, and pedestrian paths may need a different type of clearing. Ask how the provider defines the boundary between plowing and hand work.
Give the operator a useful site picture
Share the width and shape of the access route, any gates or tight turns, parked-vehicle concerns, and where snow can safely be staged. Commercial sites should also mention delivery or pedestrian movement that cannot be blocked.
Clarify the rhythm
Ask whether the conversation is about a single visit, recurring service, or a plan for larger events. Do not assume a generic “near me” result includes the same timing, equipment, or scope as another provider.
